Ski-ing and Snowboarding

Val d'Isere: Skier in flight Val d'Isére home of the 1992 Winter Olympics has over 60 slopes, beautiful tree lined runs and a snow park. When linked with Tignes this doubles to over 120 slopes and 2 snow parks. We have first hand knowledge of the area and have enjoyed many of the runs with frequent stops at the numerous mountain bars and restaurants to enjoy the views.

Let us pre book your lessons, equipment and lift pass (photo required) so that you can hit the slopes as soon as you arrive.

We are dedicated to making your stay as enjoyable as possible and can inform you of the best runs to suit your ability. We can also give you advice on when to visit the glacier and what après ski is available.

Ski and Board Hire

There is a vast choice of equipment for all levels available at most of the hire shops.

It is vital that you have comfortable and well fitting footwear as your boots will help to control your skis or snowboard. Good circulation is also a must if you want your feet to stay warm so I recommend wearing a lightweight pair of wool/polyester blend socks with your boots.

There are skis and boards designed for beginners, intermediates and experts. The type of the equipment chosen depends on its use under certain snow conditions.

The hire shop will help you chose your equipment and will often replace equipment that is uncomfortable free of charge.

As the most common injury to snowboarders is broken wrists it is worth buying a pair of wrist guards and also hiring a helmet to protect you from falling backwards.
