Restaurants

Val d'Isere is a cosmopolitan resort attracting visitors from all over Europe. Inevitably it boasts many excellent restaurants. These are a few of my personal favorites:

Perdrix Blanche

This restaurant has a big selection of dishes from pizzas and regional dishes to seafood and lobster (see the fish tank). It is very popular due to the location and great food. It also has a sun terrace where you can look out towards the village centre.

L'Etable d'Alain

This is the most unique restaurant I have ever been to. It is located next to a dairy and farm shop. If you are lucky enough to get a window seat you can watch the cows in the barn next door. The food is very regional with a meat and cheese bias. If you like traditional French food in unusual surroundings you will love this place.

Blizzard Hotel

This hotel serves excellent gourmet food in very comfortable surroundings. It has a very attractive bar area with a fireplace and large sofas. The food is traditional French cuisine cooked using local produce and beautifully presented. It is a great place for a social gathering and has a warm friendly atmosphere.
